Email us

gopartyapp12@gmail.com — we read everything and usually reply within a couple of days.

Include your @handle, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. If it involves a specific party, the party's name and start time helps us find it.

There's nothing on my map

GoParty only shows parties other people have actually posted, so a quiet night in a quiet area is a quiet map. Three things to check:

  • Location permission. Without it the map can't center on you. Turn it on in iOS Settings › GoParty › Location.
  • Your filters. Distance, time and vibe filters all narrow what shows — clear them and see what comes back. The same goes for the search box (it matches party names, hosts, areas and vibes) and the "Saved by me" filter.
  • The free radius. Free accounts see parties within 10 miles. Parties farther away show up locked until you get Prestige.

Someone sent me a party link

Every party has a link that looks like gopartyapp.net/p/…. Opened without an account it shows the flyer: the party's name, vibe, area, when it starts, and who's hosting. It never shows the address, the guest list or the party's pin on the map — those are for approved guests, inside the app.

Tap Ask to come (or RSVP) and sign in or create an account; you land on the party afterwards, not on the map. If you already have the app, the same link opens straight into it.

To share a party yourself, use the Share button on its page. On an iPhone it opens the normal share sheet; in a desktop browser it copies the link.

I asked to get in and nothing happened

Most parties are host-approved: your request sits there until the host (or a co-host) accepts or denies it, and you'll get a notification either way. Nothing on our side can approve you — only the host can.

"You're on the waitlist" means the host said yes but the party is full. Waitlists are first come, first served: the moment someone drops out or the host raises the capacity, the next person in line moves onto the list automatically, gets a pass, and gets told. The party page shows your place in line. You can leave the waitlist any time.

I can't make it any more

Open the party and tap Can't make it. Your spot goes back to the party (to the first person on the waitlist, if there is one), your pass stops working, and the host isn't pinged. The same button withdraws a request that hasn't been answered yet, or takes you off a waitlist.

Hosts and co-hosts can also take someone off the list. If that happens to you, you'll get a "you're off the list" notification, your pass stops working, and you can't re-request that party. Take it up with the host — it wasn't us.

The address won't show

That's on purpose. Hosts choose when to share the exact address, anytime from right away to two hours before the party starts. Until then you'll see the area, not the building. Only approved guests get the address, and it shows on the party page (plus a notification) as soon as it's shared.

Hosts can edit a party after posting it (name, times, capacity, details, when the address drops, and the address itself). If something you'd care about changes, everyone with a pass gets an "update from the host" notification. One thing a host can't do is hide an address that has already dropped.

Add to calendar (on the party page and on your pass) puts the name, area and times in your calendar with a link back to your pass. It never adds the address, so it can't leak from your calendar.

My QR pass won't scan

Pass codes only last 90 seconds on purpose, and each one works just once.

  • A screenshot never works. It's stale within a minute and a half — open the Pass tab at the door instead.
  • Both phones need internet. We check the code online, not on the scanning phone.
  • "Already checked in" means that pass has been redeemed. If it wasn't you, tell the host — they can see the guest list and who's inside.

Bringing a friend

If the host allows plus-ones, a Bring a friend card appears on the party page once you're on the list. Add a friend by their @handle and the host (or a co-host) gets a request to approve. Until they decide, your friend shows as "Asking host". If the host says yes, your friend gets a notification, gets in without asking when they RSVP, and gets their own pass that shows them as your +1. If it's a no, you're told and that spot is yours to use on someone else. Hosts choose how many each guest can bring (up to five) or switch it off entirely. Capacity still counts: an approved friend who RSVPs to a full party lands on the waitlist.

Your friend is rated on their own, not through you. You can withdraw a plus-one while the host is still deciding, or take one back who hasn't RSVPed yet; once they have, it's the host's call.

Co-hosts and bouncers

On the party page, the host can add two kinds of helpers. A bouncer works the door: they can scan passes and see the guest list. A co-host can do that and also approve and deny requests, edit the party, remove guests and message everyone. Only the host can take the party down, change the crew, or rate guests. You'll get a notification when someone makes you either.

Messages from the host, reminders, and muting

Hosts and co-hosts can message everyone on the list (and waitlist) from the party page — up to ten messages per party, 280 characters each. Each one arrives as a notification and stays on the party page.

Everyone going gets one reminder about two hours before the party starts, plus a notification as soon as the address is shared.

Too much? The bell icon on a party page mutes it: host messages, party updates, address drops and chat from that party stop notifying you. Decisions about whether you can get in — approvals, denials, removals — are never muted. The red badge on the bell clears when you open it, even if you don't tap every item.

Posting photos and clips

Anyone on a party's list can post photos and short videos to it — from the moment doors open until 48 hours after it ends. Videos are capped at 30 seconds and 50 MB; photos are resized for the feed. The Feed tab shows the last seven days of clips from across GoParty; each party's page keeps its own. Hosts can switch posting off for their party.

Your location never leaves your phone. Before anything uploads, the app removes the hidden info inside photos and videos, like where they were taken and what phone took them. A screenshot of the feed can't reveal where a party was.

Delete anything you posted from the ⋯ menu on it. Anything anyone else posted can be reported from the same menu.

Someone posted my photo or video without permission

Report it from the ⋯ menu on the post and our team will review it. If it's your copyrighted work (your photo, your video, your artwork), you can also send a copyright notice to gopartyapp12@gmail.com with the subject "DMCA notice". The Terms of Service (section 12) list what the notice needs to include. We take the material down and tell the person who posted it.

Who can see where I am

Nobody, until you say so. Location sharing starts off. When you turn it on, you choose the audience — everyone, friends only, or a hand-picked list — and how exact: your real spot, or a rough area (about 1 km) that hides exactly where you are. All of it lives in Settings › Location.

Ghost mode hides you for as long as you set, up to 72 hours, without changing any of those settings — sharing switches itself back on when the timer runs out. Turning sharing off entirely drops you off everyone's map immediately.

Why am I unranked?

You need at least five ratings before you get a score. Two reviews isn't enough to mean anything. Guests rate hosts and hosts rate guests after a party ends, on the same Bronze → Ruby scale. With only a few ratings your score stays near the middle on purpose, so climbing takes lots of good nights, not one perfect one.

Stars can come with a note. A note you leave for a host reaches them without your name on it. A host can also mark a guest "Didn't show", which counts as a one-star rating and shows on the guest's profile as a no-show count — so if you can't make it, tap Can't make it instead of just not turning up.

Prestige subscribers can wipe their rating history back to Unranked once a month from Settings › Prestige. It can't be undone.

Prestige: what it is, and how to cancel

GoParty Prestige is an optional subscription. It removes the 10-mile map radius, opens full details on parties outside it, puts a Prestige crown next to your name, and includes the monthly rank reset above.

On iPhone, a Prestige subscription is billed by Apple — manage or cancel it in Settings › Prestige › Manage subscription, which opens your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancelling there stops the renewal and Prestige stays active through the period you've already paid for.

On the web, billing runs through Stripe — Settings › Prestige › Manage billing opens the portal where you can switch plans, update a card, or cancel.

Reinstalled the app, or on a new phone, and Prestige isn't showing? Settings › Prestige › Restore purchases hands it back. If it still doesn't, email us with the Apple receipt.

I can't sign in

New accounts verify a phone number by SMS. If the code doesn't arrive, give it a minute, check the number is right, then tap Resend code — and if you typed the wrong number, "Wrong number?" takes you back to change it.

Forgotten password? Reset it here. If you originally signed up with Apple or Google, use that same button to sign back in — those accounts don't have a GoParty password to reset.

My account is suspended

A moderator suspends an account when it breaks the Terms of Service. While it's in place you can't post, RSVP or message, any parties you were hosting are cancelled, and you come off the map. The app tells you the reason when you open it.

Think it's wrong? Email gopartyapp12@gmail.com from the address on the account and say what happened. A lifted suspension gives you the account back, but not the parties it took down.

Delete my account

Settings › Account › Delete my account. Your sign-in stops working right away, then your data is deleted or made anonymous. It is permanent — there's no undo and no way for us to rebuild a deleted account, so export anything you want to keep first.

Report a party, a person, or something unsafe

Every party, profile, message and clip has a ⋯ on it. Tap it to report what you're looking at — pick a reason, add anything we should know, and it reaches us with the content attached as it was when you reported it. Reports are private: nobody is told who reported them.

The same menu blocks the person. Blocking works both ways, right away: you stop seeing each other on the map, in parties and in chats, and any friendship, follow, RSVP or invite between you is removed. Undo it in Settings › Account › Blocked accounts.

Something that needs a person instead of a form — email gopartyapp12@gmail.com with the @handle or the party. We remove listings and accounts that break the Terms of Service.

If someone is in danger, call your local emergency number first. GoParty is 18+, and every party on it is created and run by the people hosting it — we don't staff, supervise or vet any of them.
